Two glasses of Coquito and a bottle of Agnesi brandy on a tray with an illuminated Christmas tree in the background.

Day Four: Maria’s Coquito
Coquito is a traditional holiday drink from Puerto Rico. This is for when you’re dreaming of a white… sandy beach Christmas. It is coconut based, hence the name “little coconut.” It is a batched cocktail, much like its English cousin, eggnog. It is traditionally rum based but why not marry the two traditions and swap it for brandy?! We did!

Ingredients:
- 1 (12oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups of coconut cream (not to be confused with coconut milk)
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups of Agnesi brandy

Preparation:
Throw everything into a blender (gently) and blend on high for 1-2 minutes until thoroughly incorporated. Serve in a festive punch bowl or fancy holiday jar. Pour into little cups and garnish with a couple dashes of cinnamon.

A cream colored Tom & Jerry cocktail in a glass garnished with a cinnamon stick next to a bottle of Agnesi brandy with a string of lit snowflake shaped Christmas lights.

Day Twelve: Tom & Jerry
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Agnesi brandy, rum or a combination of both
- hot water
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- hot milk
- pinch each of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg

Preparation:
Separate eggs. Whites and yolks in different bowls.

Whip whites in a stand mixer, or with a hand mixer.

When thickened slightly, add ½ cup of powdered sugar, 1 spoonful at a time. Continue whipping whites until stiff peaks form.

Mix yolks and remaining ½ cup powdered sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.

When whites are stiffened, add yolk mix to whites and fold to combine.

When making cocktails, add batter to cup, around 1/4 cup, and then add brandy and rum (1 ½ oz total).

We used 1 oz brandy and ½ oz rum, but you can use whatever combination you like the best. Add at least 4 oz hot milk, then top off mug with hot water if desired.

The more milk you add the creamier it will be.
