Francis Ford Coppola Winery is located in Geyserville, CA

The intern would work a total of 20 hours with a mentor in one of the departments below.

Food & Beverage:  (Culinary) – Chef Tim Bodell

The Culinary Department at Francis Ford Coppola Winery is a diverse operation that services all the Culinary needs on our property including the main restaurant, Rustic, the poolside Café, Special Events, and food for our Wine Tasting Room.

An intern in the Culinary Department will develop their Culinary skills, as well as time management, multi-tasking, attention to detail, product identification, food safety, creative problem solving, and teamwork, to name a few.

Schedule: Operates seven days a week from 11AM-7PM. 

Food & Beverage:  (Front of House) – Isabelle Nogueras

The Food & Beverage leadership team oversees Rustic Restaurant and the Pool Café ensuring outstanding customer service and professional employee standards.

An intern can expect a fast-paced environment with ever changing needs. They will learn how to problem solve guest situations and strategically plan for a successful operation through budgeting, scheduling and marketing.

Schedule: Operates seven days a week from 11AM-7PM. 


Hospitality: Lillian Fechter

Francis puts it best, saying the winery is meant to be "a wine wonderland, a park of pleasure where people of all ages can enjoy all the best things in life—food, wine, music, dancing, games, swimming and performances of all types. A place to celebrate the love of life". Among the many attractions at the property, Francis Ford Coppola Winery features wine tasting bars, restaurants, a swimming pool, a movie gallery, a performing arts Pavilion and a park area with game tables and bocce courts.  Our Hospitality teams are creative and enthusiastic storytellers of our brand, ranging across a variety of roles, including Tasting Room staff, Guest Services associates, Housekeeping, Events staff, Lifeguards and Leadership. Experience the excitement of the winery, while gaining skills in business operations, marketing, strategic planning, scheduling, reservations, visual design and guest experience. 

Schedule: Operates seven days a week 11:00 to 5:00.

Human Resources: Stefanie Indart

This team consists of Recruiting, Onboarding, Training & Development, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Safety, Workers Compensation, Employee Engagement & Recognition, and all things People. You get the opportunity to see what it is like to bring new employees onboard and manage the employee experience from start to finish. The skills you learn are communication, collaboration, creativity, analysis and problem solving.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00.

Winemaking Lab: Virginia Jimenez

Lab Technicians are part of the production team responsible for administering analytical tests throughout the winemaking process. They analyze grape and juice samples to evaluate maturity during harvest, perform chemical analysis of wines and juice using a variety of methods including titration, distillation, enzymatic chemistry and other specialized methods. Skills gained are chemistry, analysis, collaboration, data collection and exposure to winemaking. Schedule: Monday through Friday and weekends during harvest.
