District Sales Manager, North Florida

Job Summary:

The Family Coppola seeks a District Sales Manager to join our team in Florida.

This individual oversees local Distributor operations for the Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville & Panhandle Markets, ensuring positive TFC Sales & Business Practices. Works with State Manager & SE Region Manager to obtain desired Sales Growth while controlling RPC (Spending).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Sales, Training, & Distributor Mgmt. Execution: (90%)

  • Makes Key Target On/Off Premise Sales Calls, to generate business, improve merchandising standards, and build relationships with Key customers
  • Works with distributor mgmt. & sales reps to improve knowledge of TFC portfolio (Sales Calls, GSM & Team Meetings, Training)
  • Works with local distributor & State Manager to develop Programming, designed around market conditions and National Focus. Monitor performance in the field. Evaluate and make recommendations for future programs.
  • Stays on top of inventory levels and makes State Manager aware of any/all product needs & issues
  • Establishes a strong working relationship with distributor partner, communicating with, and getting counsel from the State Manager. Listens to distributor management feedback and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations.
  • Confers with Distributor management and sales personnel to formulate plans for meeting competition and improving sales.
  • Develop and conduct Wine/Spirit presentations and educational seminars.
  • Participate in trade and consumer tastings/shows.


Reporting: (5%)

  • Compiles sales figures and reports to management.

Compliance: (5%)

  • Responsible for keeping up-to-date with ABC regulations and adhering to established policies and procedures regarding the handling and service of alcoholic beverages
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with Reciprocal shipping laws and adhering to established policies regarding the shipment of wine


Job Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S. or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  

Strong computer skills; type with speed and accuracy; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational and analytical skills and excellent negotiation and mediation skills.  

        Wine knowledge; formal training/CSW certification preferred
