Domaine de Broglie resides less than one mile from the first Pinot Noir vines planted in the Dundee Hillls, and today the area is considered as the origination for some of Oregon’s most acclaimed Pinot Noir vineyards.
2018 Domaine de Broglie Cuvée boasts exceptional clarity. Notes of cherries, strawberries, and mulberries dominate while hints of allspice and star anise peek through on a palate. This wine has beautiful silky length that reveals subtle kisses of earth and flower petals on the finish.
The 2018 crop experienced excellent ripeness and the fruit maintained a strong level of natural acidity, making for an exceptionally well balanced wine that has deep defined color and expansive aromatics. Also contributing to the wine’s balance and complexity is the fact we blended fruit from several different clones, including 777, 667, and 115. As a result, the wine presents a lot of lush, sweet, forward fruit, but also shows intense savory spiciness in the mid palate, and fine tannins on the finish. It's a wine that is drinking well already but can also cellar for a long time, making this a very special vintage we are extremely excited about.
