Supply Chain Responsibility

Francis Ford Coppola Winery sources over 75% of its manufactured and retail products from the United States of America, almost entirely from within California. Winery employees and management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management are being trained in the laws and issues regarding slavery and human trafficking, particularly with respect to mitigating risks within the supply chain of products. Almost 20% of our non-US sourced supplies originate from EU countries which have rigorous employment regulations. For over 85% of our remaining non-US sourced supplies, although the Winery does not conduct audits of its suppliers to evaluate supplier compliance with company standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains, the Winery does engage in on-site supplier visits from time to time to evaluate working conditions and plant quality. We have not yet begun to engage in verification of product supply chains to evaluate and address risks of human trafficking and slavery. We have not required direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into the product comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business. Winery employees and management are held accountable for following Winery supply standards. Contractors known to fail slavery and human trafficking standards are expected to remediate the situation.
